Booking Terms & Conditions
On The Truck Transport (OTTT) aims to provide a transfer service for their clients. All pick up, delivery, schedule and pricing details are to be confirmed on a case-by-case basis after the client’s request has been assessed by our team.
DELIVERY TIMES
If the clients’ details have been provided for the pickup and/or delivery destination, OTTT will attempt to contact the client to schedule an arrival time window. The first point of contact will be a phone call on the day prior to the clients pickup and/or delivery date.
The client will be provided with an approximate arrival time, with expected arrival to be within 30 minutes, plus or minus, of the stated time. If the client is unavailable during this time, we are happy to negotiate a rescheduled time within reason.
If the initial phone call is unanswered, OTTT will exhaust other forms of contact such as leaving a voicemail and/or sending a text message providing further information. After OTTT has attempted contact, it is the client’s responsibility to contact OTTT if they wish to reschedule. If OTTT is unable to confirm the delivery window is suitable (i.e., if no response has been received), the delivery will proceed as planned.
Should OTTT need to reschedule delivery due to no contact from the client, OTTT reserves the right to charge an additional redelivery fee. The redelivery fee will be determined by the type of goods being delivered.
In the event we are unable to deliver in the advised window due to unexpected circumstances (i.e., staff illnesses, poor road conditions, other delays, etc.), the client accepts that a reschedule may need to be arranged, possibly on a different day to what was originally planned. OTTT will do our best to notify our clients and to find a solution that works for both parties.
DAMAGE
In the unlikely scenario of damages to client goods directly caused by OTTT, we will work with the client to ensure appropriate reparations are made.
This may be in the form of reduction of our fees, paying for repairs, or another form of compensation.
This will be determined on a case-by-case negotiation between parties involved.
OTTT takes no responsibility for damage caused by other parties involved the pickup and/or delivery process.
USED ITEMS
In the case that OTTT is required to transport goods that are not brand new from a retailer, the following procedures will be in effect.
OTTT will document all existing damage prior to pick up of the items for most used goods.
Alternatively, if the client’s used goods are being delivered to another location for any restoration works, the condition of the items will be assessed upon the pickup for the return of the goods instead.
WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY
Our staff are required to keep their shoes on at all times.
We supply our team members with shoe covers to protect inside floors where necessary.
The above Terms & Conditions are applicable as of 5th April 2023.
